Nice to sit outside on a hot day

Lovely location by the canal. Had the steak and ale pie. Big chunks of lean steak in the pie it was tasty but was not tender - needed more cooking. Also the gravy was extremely salty!

A great pub in the heart of Chester with some nice outdoor seating on a large patio overlooking the canal. Staff were friendly. A great place to people watch.
