Lovely, big period pub and all the better for that! Great Landlord and staff. I only spend a couple of hours a day there but it really feels chilled, a lovely place to recharge your batteries recommended highly. Update Have just had Breakfast here at the Birchgrove and it was wonderful, tasty and great value for money. We had the Large breakfast which contains (sharp intake of breath) 4 sausages, 4 hash browns, 2 fried eggs, 2 bacon, baked beans, half fried tomato and toast. It was beautifuly cooked and charred for extra flavour a big hand to Paddy the Chef par ecalence.

The pub offers plentiful of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is very friendly and you can easily order and pay, whether through the QR code at every table or at the bar. The food was quite tasty, reasonably priced, and with acceptable quantities. There is a good atmosphere with many friends and family gathering in a relaxed environment. There are a few TVs broadcasting sports events.
