On a Friday evening, we decided to visit the recommended Tawa restaurant. We were not disappointed. On the contrary, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the way it was presented, the interior decor, and the incredibly friendly staff. Delicious! Especially the dessert ! – mmmmm. Thank you!

My wife and I moved to Cambridge nearly 4 years ago and during that time have tried most Indian food restaurants in Cambridge, as we love Indian food. We've been to Tawa kitchen 3 times over the course of our time living here, including for take away yesterday. My general impression is that Tawa is fine (4 stars), but not particularly good, and there are numerous Indian spots around Cambridge that have significantly higher quality food. In my view, Tawa is lacking in 2 qualities: flavor and portion sizes. For example, their portion sizes seem about 30% less than other similarly priced or cheaper restaurants with higher quality food. Their naan in particular is pretty disappointing -- not fluffy at all, more like pita or flat bread (!). The eating experience in Tawa is fairly nice in the restaurant (although Dishoom is much better for ambiance), but for a take away meal, I would recommend Taj Tandoori, Fusion Hut, or Royal Spice. I think this place deserves around 4 stars, but definitely not 4.5 or above. I would be very wary of all of the 5 star reviews this place gets from people with 5 reviews or less....
