It is absolutely a great news to see MJPsheperds' reopening. Now it's called Ancient Shephards, with chef Mark Poynton as before. We has chosen the 3 course menu. The food was well presented with nice taste. The dessert Apricot Ice Cream Sandwich was a surprise to us. We all had a lovely time.

Such a great spot! Ideal for a date or a family gathering. The space was Elegant but comfortable, Our waitresses were warm but professional, and the food was exceptional. Elevated takes on classic dishes and all still approachable and cooked to perfection. Nice wine selection too, and all at reasonable prices. Worth the walk along the river from Cambridge!

The most charming, wonderful little place. But the food is really next level. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. Bib gourmand kind of food, but obviously done by someone who knows how to deliver at even higher levels. Precisely what we wanted.
