Very friendly landlord (which makes me feel bad about writing this less than glowing review), and they serve a decent, good value, Ploughman's lunch, with warm bread rolls, good quality ham (if you choose that), nice cheeses and pickles. There's also plenty of parking space. But the decor is unappealing and the outside areas are very scruffy. It seems somehow to be neither a traditional/ rustic village inn nor a contemporary pub. So, it's ok if you are in Great Shelford and want a drink, or a quick, simple meal with friendly service, but there are better village pubs in the South Cambs area.
