Okay, so the bad about visiting Duxford - the cost! On a none flying day you are looking at £30 per person to get in, and eating and drinking here requires a second mortgage. But, whilst it is a shock to the wallet, when you what has been done over the years, personally I think that the cost is justifiable. Now the good about a visit here, it is a while day visit not just a few hours, and that is going around all the static displays halls with purpose, lose track of time and it could be very easy to have to miss a hall or two as you run out of time. There is so much to see, I was especially pleased to see aircraft that had lurked in the back of hangers for years now proudly displayed. The conservation work done at Duxford is outstanding and I would argue it is one of the best aircraft museums in the world. A special mention has to go out to all the staff here, be those employed at Duxford and those who volunteer, they were all super nice and helpful.
