Plaza recoleta llena de encanto y vegetación como otras muchas de Cádiz. La fuente es el principal motivo de esta plaza creada en el año 1953, para la nueva distribucion urbana, pensada para dar visibilidad al Palacio de la Aduana (actual Diputacion) y conformar un espacio de transición entre el entorno del Muelle y las callejuelas de Casco Antiguo. Un sombreado vestibulo que dá la bienvenida a la ciudad, junto con los Jardines de Canalejas.
