About

The owners of Matrjoska bistro approached the creation of the first Russian restaurant in Budapest with expertise. Every detail here eloquently narrates about the customs and wide soul of the world-renowned nation that has given the world the balalaika, matryoshka dolls, and traditional borscht.

Matryoshka Café is not just about national Russian dishes. Every item on the menu is accentuated with a drop of Europe, and the popular red borscht is invariably seasoned with olives or capers, while brownies, conversely, are topped with thick plum jam.

The interior is dominated by wood, and the walls are abundantly adorned with folkloric paintings. An honorable place in the bistro is occupied by an illustration of the fairy tale "Teremok" with text in Russian, which excellently complements the authentic atmosphere of the establishment.

Nagyon klassz hely volt, de most úgy tűnik megszűnt. :(

Bezárt. Pedig bemcsak a helyszín hangulatos, hanem a belső atnoszféra is harmonizált vele.

Incrdedible food! Visited many times and I'm still amazed how consistent the kitchen can be. Friendly staff helps too.
