This was one of our favourite finds in Budapest. Super quaint little lunch place with excellent food, service and prices. I had Brasov chicken roast (Csirke brassói) which was a very tasty mix of chicken and potatoes and my wife had Matra-style fried pork cutlet with rice (Mátrai borzaska rizzsel) which is a pork chop that is covered in shredded potatoes and then deep fried. It was absolutely delicious. The setting is a quaint little ground floor eatery with about 6 tables. Very warm and cosy with a cheerful greeting and fast efficient service. Lots of happy people here. It is off the beaten path but public transit is so good here that getting there was no problem. The server spoke very good English and they have an english menu on their website. One of the highlights of our trip.

Zum Glück habe ich dieses kleine Lokal in Budapest entdeckt. Es gibt 10 Sterne .... Das Essen ist so gut wie von meiner ungarischen Oma - und die Frau konnte verdammt gut kochen. Der Service ist sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, auch wenn der Gast die Landessprache nicht wirklich spricht, wird mit viel Geduld geholfen. Wie auch immer .... Ich werde während diesem Urlaub auf jeden Fall noch einmal hierher kommen.
