About

The funicular in Budapest is not just a means of transportation, but also a state-protected monument that has long exceeded the age of two hundred years. Among the passengers of the mountain tram, there are always many children who enjoy watching the unfolding views from the cozy cabin. The funicular has long become an unofficial symbol of Budapest, as it manages to lift over a hundred thousand people to the peaks of the Buda Hills in just one year. Of course, it's not at all necessary to ride it - nearby there are convenient winding paths for those who prefer active leisure and wish to reach the top on foot. You can use the services of what locals call the "three-story tram" for a symbolic fee, obtaining a special pleasure in the process.

We did the cable car for the experience, bit expensive for what it was. We had a push chair which was a bit of a nightmare. Lots of stairs, obviously cobbles as expected. Toilets not sign posted well and lots of stairs to get their quick with a toddler.
