The Hungarian Opera House holds a place of honor at the crossroads of bustling streets in the 6th district of Pest. Whether it's due to its cultural program or fortunate location, it carries the title of being the largest and most visited in all of Budapest.

The vast building is constructed in Baroque and Neo-Renaissance styles. The facade is adorned with numerous sculptures of Greek muses and bas-reliefs with historical scenes, telling the past of Hungary. Directly in front of the theater, monuments to the first director and the author of the country's national anthem have been erected. The auditorium can accommodate 1,261 viewers and is designed in the shape of a horseshoe, which allows its local acoustics to compete with La Scala.
