I have come here a couple of times during the past year and I've always been amazed at how consistently amazing their sandwiches are. Today I strolled in wishing to get myself a Reuben or a Philly Cheesesteak just to find that they'd changed their menu for the summer. The first small wave of disappointment was washed away immediately with my first bite, that risotto was absolutely godly. It's the best thing I've ever had in Belgium. It's more than cheap enough for how filling it is, it has an extremely cozy atmosphere and they're consistently excellent in every single thing they make to the point that it's almost scary. When you step inside the door you'll want to book a ticket to New York, when you finish your sandwich you'll realize you're better off spending that money coming to Elbow as much as you can. Stop reading the reviews and just get in the metro or your car or walk I don't care just have a bite please.

I visited Elbow for the opening night of Gombo Club’s residency. I can’t speak for the usual food and service provided by Elbow, but Chef Issiaka did an extraordinary job with his menu. A simple and small selection of dishes, yet they are all very well thought out and developed. The saka saka risotto with smoked tuna was so good, I could eat it everyday. The menu changes every few days throughout his three week residency, and I almost wish it didn’t, selfishly, just so I could taste that dish again. Highly recommended. Don’t walk, run there!
