We snagged two chairs at the bar looking into the kitchen. The cooks were like a symphony. Moving in harmony and always with deference to the chef. Their tapas offerings are both traditional and their own creations. There is great variety among fried, veg, meat and seafood. We opted for pan con tomato, potato & truffle croquettes, paella, pommes pont neuf with parmesan and a cheese plate. We immensely enjoyed each course. We started with a glass of cava and had a bottle of txacoli with our meal. The restaurant was quite busy, noise level was moderate and lighting was moderately subdued. The service throughout was pleasant and attentive. We were in Belfast for eleven nights and I would put our meal at Edo at the top of our list.

This was my first visit to Edo, in what was an unexpected and opportunistic lunch break. It's a stylish and bright restaurant, with efficient staff, and chefs visible in the long, open kitchen. Call me sad, but as a long-term foodie, this is the sort of thing that makes my heart beat faster. And so to the main attractions. I ordered Pimiento Peppers (aka Padron Peppers) - a large portion of perfectly scorched little green Peppers, simply served with crunchy sea salt. Alongside this was a delicious portion of Guanciale, rolled and slow cooked pork, served with a celeriac slaw. My third choice was a salad of little gem lettuce, with anchovies, under a little snowstorm of parmesan. Every mouthful was a treat. If you're anywhere near the City Centre, there are many places that will happily take your money and serve substandard food. Not Edo. I spent £24 and felt that was good value for the quality of cooking on show. Absolutely delightful.

Great service and amazing food as always! We arrived with two diners in the party who had dietary requirements and they were so amazing with accommodating these, they marked the menus and let us know what they could and couldn’t be have. Everybody was so happy with the quality of the food and the amount of options available. Vick was also amazing, very personable and very attentive 10/10 would recommend!
