Disappointing trip to the Meat Wagon. I went in with high hopes as it’s under the Stix and Stones banner but the food wasn’t up to par. Me and a friend shared a meat platter with sides and a drink. The pork shoulder and brisket were very good, warm and tasted like quality meat. The chorizo sausage was soft and wet, really not great and it was the main meat on offer. The main issue is that the meat was cold, the platter doesn’t facilitate the retention of heat. They should consider severing the meat platter in small plates rather than lumped together. I would not return or if I did, I would not go for the meat platter. Staff were great though, friendly and accommodating, can’t fault them.
