About

Set on the outskirts of Belfast, the National Trust Lisnabreeny Cregagh Glen offers a peaceful escape to nature lovers with its remarkable blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue. This verdant haven is a popular choice for families and pet owners alike, thanks to its child-friendly paths and pet-friendly policy. As you meander along the shaded trails by the tranquil streams, you will be treated to the picturesque landscape of the glen, complete with a charming waterfall and light filtering gently through the tree canopy. At the top of your walk, a historic hill fort and an American war memorial await, providing panoramic vistas of Belfast. While sturdy footwear is advised due to some unpaved paths, the site's proximity to the city center ensures convenient access. Visitors can enhance their experience - and preserve the park's pristine condition - by taking care to dispose of litter responsibly, perhaps by bringing a small bag to collect rubbish. Despite the occasional issue with littering, this park consistently enchants with its captivating natural surroundings and the serene sanctuary it offers from urban life.

Remember this walk when i was teenager,im now 49.(we bunked off school and spent the day in here),,its changed a bit more over the years, nice peaceful to walk through.my only recent gripe is that some* people let there dogs poo on the steps.(probo the same ones let there mutts c.rap on the street).,apart from that, good.

A lovely walk alongside a stream with lots of understory plants. The walk can be strenuous (uphill!) or easy downhill. Gravel path with steps can be muddy when wet. A nice cool shady walk on a hot summer day
