About

St Michael's Church in Bath offers more than just a picturesque stop; it's a beacon of history and community life. With its monumental spire and decorative tower, the church stands as a grand testament to early English style architecture. The facade, complemented by vibrant stained glass windows, creates a serene yet bustling atmosphere that wraps visitors in a warm embrace. A community café provides a cozy spot to unwind with snacks, drinks, and homemade cakes, making it a favorite gathering place for locals and tourists alike. Its storied past, as the fourth reincarnation built in 1833 and the site of Lord Byron's parents' wedding, adds to its timeless charm. Engaging activities like the children's center, senior scrabble games, and ethereal choir performances further enhance the welcoming spirit of this iconic Bath landmark.

Lovely church and also an active community cafe open to all; great open space, friendly service, good prices, and top quality tea and cakes. Use the ‘suspended drink’ program to pay it forward for those less fortunate if you’re able.
