Le Farleigh Hungerford Castle, fondé au XIVe siècle par Sir Thomas Hungerford, est une forteresse médiévale en calcaire de Bath et grès local, mêlant architecture militaire et résidentielle. Ses tours rondes crénelées et son mur d’enceinte robuste illustrent le style fortifié du XIVe siècle, tandis que la chapelle Saint-Léonard, avec ses fresques et vitraux, ajoute une touche gothique. La cour intérieure, flanquée de bâtiments en pierre taillée, témoigne de la vie aristocratique. Abandonné au XVIIIe siècle, le château, entouré de prairies, conserve une atmosphère romantique.
