The Japanese restaurant Koy Shunka is both the most delicious and the most expensive establishment of its kind in Barcelona. The local chef has been awarded a Michelin star, and a usual sushi outing often turns into a grand journey to the Land of the Rising Sun.

Finding the restaurant is quite easy-it is located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, near the Cathedral. All dishes here are prepared "in the open," right in front of the delighted guests who constantly marvel at the culinary team's virtuosity. The tasting menu features dishes such as oysters with miso dressing, sea duck broth, red tuna sashimi, and tofu and lobster soup.

Hemos disfrutado con la familia un menú degustación, la comida fue excelente, el aperitivo, entrantes principales y como no, el plato estrella carne de Wagyu A5 y ligeros postres después de degustar 10 platos. Todo fluía: el ambiente, la comida y el servicio. Sin duda, fue una buena experiencia.

Una experiència de les que recordes tota la vida. Des de l’entrada al restaurant fins la sortida, tot està cuidat al detall. Els cambrers entenen a la perfecció tots els plats que preparen i tenen un tracte impecable amb el client. Fins i tot, al sentir-nos parlar en català entre nosaltres, el noi que ens atenia va oferir de parlar-nos en català perquè estiguéssim més còmodes. El menjar és d’altíssima qualitat i ben cuidat, sempre amb un fons de llenya que realça tots els sabors. Té un valor afegit la fusió amb ingredients de proximitat, com la gamba de Palamós o l’anguila de les Terres de l’Ebre. No quedes pas amb gana, al contrari! L’espai és molt acollidor i et fa sentir com a casa. Ho recomano a tots els amants de la cuina japonesa i als que vulguin viure una experiència culinària única 🔝
