The Tuschinski Theatre is the oldest cinema in Amsterdam, opened in 1921, and one of the most beautiful cinemas in the world, boasting stunning architecture. Its exterior walls are covered in tiles and adorned with beautiful ceramic sculptures. Inside, the cinema lays out hand-made carpets of excellent quality, while the walls and dome are decorated with beautiful paintings, characteristic of the 20th century. The modern Tuschinski Theatre consists of 6 halls, and the main hall has a capacity of 1290 seats. In its time, the stage of the main hall, then a theater, hosted such celebrities as Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich.
