There are two main routes 30..from Rincon to Calle Finistrat and back and 31 from Rincon to Altea via Albir and back. On these busses you can buy season tickets that allow you to use the tourist and primary busses..they are available for 24 hr. 72 hrs and 7 days. You will need to check prices as they changed from my previous visit. I bought a 7 day card for 40.4o euro because I wanted to use the busses quite often and didbt want to mess about with change each time. With the season ticket card you put it on a scanner and it automatically dispenses a ticket. They advertise that there is a tour commentary in several languages. Ok there is but its so quiet out of the speakers as to be useless. Also on the 30 route it keeps announcing the number of the next stop continually. While when you can hear the commentary it is very poor indeed. Doesn't really explain interesting stuff you pass such as the parks and bull ring..etc. it refers to Gran Hotel Bali but so far away that people mistook another tall building for it. At least you do see how nice Calle Finistrat is and the far end of Poniente beach that most British probably dont know exist. Going the other way to Altea you go though Albir which is a lovely compact smart looking resort. Unfortunately both here and Altea you just get short glimpses of the sea and wonderful promenade you can walk from Albir to Altea. If you are watching your expenses its cheaper on ordinary busses. .as long as you know where you are going. But I didn't mind the extra cost as a way of orienting yourself and seeing new area to explore again on orher days.
