Definitely one of the go to spots in Zurich for an evening out during the summer. Good crowd of people age appropriate with good music and friendly service behind the bar.

Mein Besuch bei Bazaar & Kaufleuten Terasse wurde leider massiv durch das Verhalten des Sicherheitspersonals überschattet. Anstatt für ein sicheres und angenehmes Umfeld zu sorgen, verhielten sich mehrere Security-Mitarbeiter übergriffig, herablassend und in mehreren Fällen eindeutig frauenfeindlich. Schon beim Einlass wurden weibliche Gäste deutlich anders (sexistisch)– und deutlich unangemessener – behandelt als männliche. Kommentare, Blicke und der Tonfall waren respektlos und unangemessen. Körperliche Nähe wurde in Situationen gesucht, in denen sie weder notwendig noch gerechtfertigt war. Auf Hinweise oder Beschwerden reagierte das Personal abwehrend oder sogar spöttisch. Ein solches Verhalten ist nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern schlicht inakzeptabel. Sicherheitspersonal sollte dafür sorgen, dass sich alle Gäste sicher fühlen – insbesondere Frauen, die im Nachtleben ohnehin oft mit unangenehmen Situationen konfrontiert sind. Hier aber wurde das genaue Gegenteil vermittelt: Dass man sich nicht nur unwohl, sondern auch schutzlos fühlen muss. Ich hoffe sehr, dass die Verantwortlichen dieses Verhalten nicht tolerieren und Konsequenzen daraus ziehen – sei es durch klare Verhaltensrichtlinien, personelle Veränderungen oder Schulungen in Deeskalation und Gleichbehandlung. Denn so etwas darf sich nicht wiederholen.
