We had looked up Wheldrakes for a recent brunch in York, whilst looking for Gluten Free options. My daughter (14 years) is a recently diagnosed Coeliac, so we're just finding out feet navigating how to safely eat out. Wheldrakes did not disappoint. Our requirements were taken seriously in a really kind manner, and we were reassured about what was safe to eat and how it was prepared. We were served by Laurel (I think was their name, apologies if I've misremembered), who was friendly and so kind. Our whole party enjoyed our brunch, with fresh ingredients and great coffee! The interior was quirky and beautiful, as well as being spotlessly clean. We would have returned the following morning for brunch too, but sadly that was one of the days they are closed. Highly recommended and will return if we find ourselves in York again. Thank you.
