The first time was in 2022 and the second time is in 2025. Honestly, the second time is worse than the first time. The flavors of the dish are not as exceptional as I had expected. I feel like it’s difficult to grasp the story the chef wanted to convey through the tasting menu. The pairing wine is good.

Roots is absolutely incredible. The tasting menu is a wonderful experience — creative, full of flavour, and beautifully thought through. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service is next level. A special mention to our waiter from Skegness (we didn’t catch his name)— he was brilliant: friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole evening feel effortless. They handled dietary needs with real care, too. One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.
