Went last week and they had a reduced menu! (Not their fault I’m sure) but there was only one vegan option and the pancakes I got were smothered in yogurt with the addition of a warm iced chai (even though it was iced…) In addition, all the doggie polaroid pictures were missing. Such a shame! Hopefully is just a fluke as normally one of my favourite places.

Nice place with high ceilings and a somewhat beachy vibe. The bacon butty I had was very tasty but my god, the size of the bread slices was simply wild — easily twice the thickness one would expect of a hefty slice. I don’t think any of us managed all of it! Service was pleasant and prompt, and the food was good value for money.

This was a standout stop on our Kaldi Coffee Trail while visiting York. The coffee hit the mark, smooth and brewed just right. The team were warm and welcoming throughout and the overall vibe of the place is what we were looking for in a coffee stop off. As soon as we walked in and saw the motorbike and surfboards on the wall we knew we were in the right place! It’s the kind of spot that makes exploring independent coffee shops worth it. Big thanks to the crew for the great service, we’ll definitely swing by again when the trail brings us back to York.
