Visited today and was absolutely blown away by this little gem of a place. It genuinely restored my faith in humankind. The staff were incredibly welcoming—outstanding, in fact—and the food was equally impressive. Everything was of excellent quality, and the cakes were to die for. We were especially touched by the level of customer service. When it came time to pay, we found that we couldn’t add a tip to the card payment. The lovely waitress simply said, “Don’t worry if you don’t have cash—we’re just happy to serve you.” Fortunately, my daughter had some cash on hand, so we were able to leave a tip. If not, I genuinely would have returned later just to make sure they got it—that’s how exceptional the service was. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit to York, and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, warm service, and a lovely ambience. An absolute gem—and it’s so heartening to see an independent business thriving.

Hidden gem nestled off main street in Bishy - cakes and coffee all good and lovely little courtyard seating area with roses (and no grass so suitable for grass pollen hayfever sufferers).
