About

Any tourist finding themselves at the crossroads of Marshal Pilsudski Street and Swidnicka Street in Wroclaw invariably wonders: where are these people going, and why are they here? The monument named "Passage 1977-2005" symbolizes the changes in the state of the city during this period, associated with the introduction of martial law in Poland. The main idea of the composition is the notion that military conflicts force people to go underground. 7 bronze figures of people go under the ground at the beginning of the passage and come out on the other side.
