I went on a date at Kaiju Ramen recently because I was craving ramen, and my date recommended it as the place to go, especially in the area. It was my first time having ramen in DC, and I found it really delicious and enjoyable. I didn’t finish it all because I got full, but it’s definitely a low key spot with dim lights that give you that traditional ramen vibe; it really sets the mood. The food was great, but the service could have been better. We had multiple people checking on the table, but not frequently enough. It wasn’t busy, but we still had to wave someone down to take our order and again to close the check, which wasn’t ideal. But aside from that, the food really stood out.

I’ve been here a dozen times or so, and every time the food just hits so hard. The gyoza are incredible and all the ramen dishes are just amazing. I love the kaiju chicken, but their kaiju tonkotsu is pretty hard to beat. Stephen helped us recently, and he was fantastic—great service, great suggestions, and super fast, too.
