On our mini-vacation in Washington, D.C., we decided to have some Chinese food after a fun day of taking different tours of the Washington, D.C. area, and we got some food there. I must apologize for not taking pictures of the restaurant and the food. We were so hungry that it slipped our minds to take pictures. The hot and sour soup and the lean pork and preserved egg congee were a great start; both were outstanding. I got the triple delight on rice, which was delicious and filling. My partner got the mapo tofu on the rice when she loved it. The waiter we had was outstanding. Once we got our seats, the waiter (sorry, I forgot his name) came over and took our order, and the food and drinks arrived quickly. While we were eating, the waiter checked on us and ensured that our drinks were always full. We appreciated that, thank you. The amount of food we got for the price was acceptable. After eating there, we were full and delighted afterwards. In conclusion, the next time we visit Washington, D.C., Chinatown Express will be a top restaurant to return to after this fantastic dining experience.

I came with two friends not too long ago, so this is an assessment from all three of us. We got 3 dishes - General Tso's Chicken, Roast duck, and I believe the House BBQ Mixed Tray. It was a long time (10+ years) since I last went here, and I am glad to see the food is still good as well. --- 1 - Tso's Chicken:- Good flavor, wasn't excessively spicy or lacking spice 2 - Roast Duck: Also good quality meat and flavor, was a little soggy, though. 3 - House BBQ Platter: Was a great first experience for two of my friends. Pork was crispy, the seared pork was amazing, and the duck was good as well, but skin went a little soggy

We had a decent visit. The food was hot, no issues with the service and we sat down right away. We were greeted right away and went straight to our table. The restaurant was quiet. The servers were attentive and provided good service. The food was ok. It was hot and fresh. Didn’t make an impression on us. No major complaints. It was ok.
