Es handelt sich um ein bedeutendes Spätwerk des Romantischen Historismus und einen der letzten Monumentalbauten vor der Anlage der Ringstraße.[1] Es weist mehrere Höfe und zwischen Herrengasse und Freyung eine Ladenpassage auf, die das Gebäude zu einem Durchhaus machen.

Este Passaje es muy interesante verlo tranquilamente e ir viendo las diferentes pequeñas tiendas, que cada una vende un estilo de producto. Hay dos o tres pequeños restaurantes. Uno de ellos tiene unos pasteles muy deliciosos. Este Pasaje forma parte del Palacio Ferstel, que es del año 1855. El Arquitecto del Palacio fué Henrich von Ferstel. Está cerca de la Catedral de San Esteban.
