We had just finished a hop on hop off bus tour and wanted some refreshments plus just to enjoy the day and weather. Saw this cafe amongst the row of eateries/cafes in front of the harbour and got a table close to the curb and sidewalk behind us. A female server came over and offered us menus. At first we were just going for some coffees then decided let’s sample a couple of local snacks. We asked the waitress about an item and she described it was fries but made with chick peas , k let’s try it. Next we chose an item that the waitress said was calamari fritters, great something we were familiar with. After a bit of time the orders arrived but everything was hot which means it was not sitting around. First the chick peas fries, it was surprisingly good. Nice crispness outside and soft inside. Using the dip supplied it was quite delicious and different. The calamari fritters, well it was little octopus balls deep fried and covered with this green seasoning. Try it and wow - great flavour with a lemon finish. It was very good! Also we got some baguette from the waitress even though they don’t sell it and didn’t come with our orders. So nice of her. We had the baguette with butter mmmmm it was so good both butter and bread. It was a nice relaxing experience. When it came time to take care of the bill and change came back - about 10% of the bill. We asked the waitress to wait a moment so we could add more tips. She surprised me and said it was enough. We added to the change anyways and thanked her for a great time. I can’t comment on the overall food in the menu which I will try next time I’m here. I certainly would recommend this cafe to any tourist who may want to sample their snacks and enjoy great service. Definitely a must try in my books!
