Really nice place to visit with the kids. The mines are very nice and interesting to walk through and you learn about the history of the place. We also got 20% off the entry price, by showing a ticket we had for the tram, so that was nice too.

The Great Orme Mines are an incredible glimpse into ancient history. It’s amazing to think these copper mines date back over 3,500 years! The self-guided tour is well laid out, with clear signs explaining the history and archaeology. Walking through the tunnels is atmospheric (and a little mind-blowing when you realise they were dug with primitive tools). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the visitor centre has great displays for all ages. Wear sensible shoes and be ready for low ceilings in some areas. A must-see in Llandudno for history lovers and curious minds alike!

Visited the great orme bronze and copper mines. We had a small dog with us and they are dog friendly. The proprietor is the son of the original owner and greeted us when we arrived and helped to set the scene for what we were about to see. There is a room with some artifacts and a box of hard hats where you collect yours before entering a room to watch a short 5minute video giving you some history of the mines before you enter the earth works for a self guided tour. The mines are fairly narrow and low in places, so that helmet saved my head a few times! We had read that it was cold in the mines so brought jumpers/coats. On the hot day we visited on it was a pleasant respite from the heat. You feel the cool air as soon as you reach the entrance of the mine. The mines are fascinating and well signposted with information about them. I've included a short video of us entering but you'll have to visit to see the rest and it's well worth visiting. Once you leave the underground mines it takes you outside to a video showing the process for extracting the copper and making malechite following this you will see the even older opencast mines. There is the archeologists room with with stones that were used as hammers that have been found on site. Finally you exit via the gift shop, where copper and stones can be purchased alongside other items. I have to make a special mention of there toilet facilities as these were so much nicer than I've visited in any other attraction.
