The best Persian restaurant I have ever tried. I’ve been eating from Darwisch for years and years. Sometimes I visit Heidelberg just for this restaurant. Incredible! I recommend both the Kabab Koobideh and Joojeh Kabab.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience at Darwich Restaurant! My family and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Darwich Restaurant while visiting Heidelberg from Texas, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire Europe trip. We were celebrating my brother’s birthday on the last leg of our journey, and choosing Darwich could not have been more perfect. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed with the kind of genuine Persian hospitality that immediately makes you feel like family. The owners are truly wonderful people—gracious, attentive, and full of warmth. Their personal touch and kindness transformed our dinner into a memorable celebration. The food was phenomenal. We were a party of five, and every single dish that came to our table was prepared with incredible care and flavor. Each plate was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. You could taste the quality in every bite. If there’s one dessert you must try, it’s their faloudeh—refreshing, unique, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The ambiance is just as impressive as the food. The restaurant’s decor is elegant yet inviting, with beautiful Cyrus the Great patterns on the chairs that add a special cultural touch. The design blends tradition and charm, creating an atmosphere that feels both authentic and welcoming. We left with full hearts and full stomachs, feeling like we had experienced a little piece of Iran in the heart of Germany. Darwich is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place where food, culture, and hospitality come together to create something unforgettable.
