Our group of four has visited many breweries, and we can confidently say this stop was a standout experience, easily one of the most memorable. The taproom happened to be closed during our visit, but that didn’t slow things down one bit. The on-site can store was an absolute treasure trove. Between the four of us, we sampled 18 different beers ranging from crisp, refreshing lagers to bold barrel-aged stouts, each one showcasing the brewery’s creativity and technical mastery. The variety alone was worth the trip, and the merch section made it easy to bring home a few keepsakes. What started as a quick stop turned into a four-hour visit we’ll never forget. The brewery tour was a highlight. The hosts were phenomenal—warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their craft. They didn’t just walk us through the brewing process; they welcomed us like old friends and made us feel like part of the story. Their hospitality went above and beyond, giving us access to one of the brewer’s private stock selections and even letting us taste a yet-to-be-released beer, literally fresh off the canning line. A special thank you to Thomas, whose generosity and enthusiasm elevated the entire experience and made us feel truly at home. Even without the taproom open, this visit was a masterclass in how to deliver an exceptional brewery experience. If you’re a beer lover, whether traveling solo or with friends, put this place at the very top of your list. You’ll leave with great stories, incredible beer, and a deeper appreciation for the people behind it all.

We had such a great experience at Mad Scientist! The beers were absolutely delicious — full of flavour, and clearly made with love. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and took the time to chat and explain the different beers to us. You can feel the passion behind everything they do. We would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Budapest. Thank you for a great experience — we’ll definitely be back!
