La Giralda es la torre campanario de la Catedral de Sevilla. El califa Abú Yosuf Yaqub ordena levantar el alminar en el siglo XII. En el siglo XIII un terremoto derriba el yamur de la torre, después se sustituye por un campanario. En su día fue la más alta del mundo con sus 97,5 metros de alto. Cuenta con dos partes bien diferenciadas, la musulmana y la cristiana, esta última es donde se encuentran ubicadas las campanas. Decir que no tiene escaleras sino rampas, unas 35 en total y unos pocos escalones para acceder al campanario. En 1928 fue declarada patrimonio nacional y en 1987 patrimonio de la humanidad.
