I've been a CapitalOne customer for years and used to semi-frequent the one in Manhattan when I worked there. I was in San Francisco for an appointment not too far from the cafe, so I thought I'd pop in for 50% off a beverage since I'm a customer. As I'm standing in line, I chat up the manager on site (Daniel) and he informed me it was so busy because of a promo of a free handmade beverage every Monday for the entire MLB season. He gave me the QR code to sign up and I got a free chai latte! Thanks Daniel! On another note, I wasn't expecting this atmosphere to feel like a co-working space. I saw so many folks set up who hadn't even purchased anything or had brought beverages from other well known chains in. When I found out about the free drink, I called a friend who lives nearby and invited her to come so we could sit and chat before I was due to fly out in a matter of hours but we couldn't find a table and the couch we were sitting on, it seemed us talking was disturbing others despite the name "cafe" so we left. I guess there are just some things NYC does better.

Since acquiring Discover, C1 has provided me the ability to purchase twice as much coffee. That's 4x as much as anywhere else, for 1/8th the hassle, and 1/16th of the guilt when I go back for my 32nd cup. And today the counterman complemented my shirt :)

Gets crowded at times, but I appreciate the place to do work and grab coffee. Half off on drinks for capital one card holders. A good amount of tables and outlets on all three floors. Only thing I wish is that the wifi isn't great. It barely hits 5mbps. My phone's hitting 500 over here, so yeah.
