Deeply Disappointing Accessibility Experience I’m currently going through rehabilitation after a serious skiing accident (two surgeries on my knee and wrist) so I’m temporarily using a wheelchair and rely on my partner for support. On May 4, 2025, we bought accessible tickets to Odeon, confident that the infrastructure was ready, especially since the website confirmed full accessibility. Unfortunately, the reality was not just disappointing, it was unsafe. When we arrived (30 minutes early), the lift from Level 1 to the cinema floor wasn’t working. There were no signs, no information, nothing. We waited, confused, until my partner had to go upstairs alone to figure it out. The staff’s response? A shrug: “Yeah, the lift’s broken. Nothing we can do.” We were left with no safe option but to take the escalator with the wheelchair, which is not only dangerous — it’s terrifying. No one helped. Not on the escalator, not with the heavy cinema doors, not at all. In fact, the only person who even offered to help was a shopping centre security guard, not Odeon staff. When I asked the shift manager why accessible tickets were sold if accessibility wasn’t working, she just said they “don’t control the website” and refused to take responsibility. To be fair, after ten minutes of expressing my concerns, someone did offer us complimentary tickets, though that wasn’t what I was arguing for. Almost two months later, we returned. The lift is finally fixed, and this time we were met by a very kind staff member who helped us with the doors and met us at the lift. So clearly, it’s all down to who you happen to meet that day. No consistent protocol, no proper accessibility culture — just luck. To the Odeon management: accessibility is not a bonus feature — it’s a basic right. Please treat it as such, and make sure your teams are trained, equipped, and empowered to support all guests with dignity.

Great place. Very convenient by Luas. Not very crowded except during 3 Arena events.
