È sempre stato un punto di riferimento per i quartieri limitrofi. È un centro sportivo nel mezzo di Villa de Sanctis, con campi da tennis e piscina comunale in concessione. Per la piscina: è facile prenotare online il proprio lettino con un ombrellone condiviso in due, il numero di persone che possono entrare non supera mai il numero totale di posti quindi anche al massimo della capienza non manca mai un po' di posto a bordo piscina o dentro l'acqua, inoltre i bagnini fanno sempre rispettare il divieto di fumare, bere alcolici e mangiare oltre al fatto di avere sempre la cuffia in testa per nuotare. C'è un bar interno un po' zoppicante ma comodo in cui non si può entrare se non vestiti; ci sono spogliatoi e bagni e anche posti per mangiare il proprio pranzo. Gli orari sono 8:30 - 13:30 oppure 13:30 - 18:30. Di fronte c'è un parcheggio su ghiaia smisurato per cui il posto auto non manca per nessuno mai. In più organizzano ogni anno anche il centro estivo. I gestori del posto comunque sono sempre gentilissimi e molto disponibili e anche i ragazzi del servizio di bagnino e quelli del centro estivo sono bravi. Peccato che abbiano subìto gravi danni a seguito del famigerato scoppio dei serbatoi GPL della pompa di benzina proprio di fronte a loro. Non si sono persi d'animo e stanno cercando di recuperare questa stagione interrotta. Auguro loro il meglio.
