2025 Zoos

Private menageries in the Czech Republic were not such a rarity. Prague Zoo, located in the Troja Park area, dates back to the time of Emperor Rudolf II, and began its new period of prosperity from 1921, when construction started in the Troja Basin, lasting for 10 years.

The zoo continues to develop even today, expanding its territory. From its heights, one can enjoy a stunning view of Prague. There is a funicular in operation.

The zoo houses a great multitude of animals, so it's a good idea to start visiting in the morning - it will likely take the whole day. Visitors can see unique and rare species of animals - such as the giant Galapagos tortoises or the Przewalski's horse. There are also souvenir shops and small restaurants available for the convenience of visitors. In the beer restaurant, for example, you can often see ducks freely visiting it.

Many animals in beautiful place. But many people too :-) ...sometimes overcrowded.

Dcera má 6 let a zvířata miluje. Užil jsem si pohled na její rozzářené oči.

Super, toalety čisté, žádné velké fronty, přijatelné ceny.
