Zamek Królewski w Poznaniu to miejsce pełne historii i legend, które przez wieki było świadkiem ważnych wydarzeń. Choć dziś nie zachowało się wiele oryginalnych zabudowań, sam teren i pozostałości murów wciąż robią wrażenie i zapraszają do spacerów. Zamek był niegdyś siedzibą królów polskich i ważnym punktem obronnym miasta. Jego lokalizacja na wzgórzu pozwalała kontrolować okolicę, a zamek pełnił funkcje zarówno reprezentacyjne, jak i militarne. Dziś można tu zobaczyć fragmenty murów, a także miejsce, gdzie odbywają się różne wydarzenia historyczne i kulturalne. To dobre miejsce dla miłośników historii, którzy chcą poczuć ducha dawnej Polski i poznać przeszłość Poznania.

Nowo odbudowany obiekt historyzujacy, mający elementy zarówno gotyckie jak i renesansowe oraz trochę baroku, z 6-ściob piętrową, gotycką wieżą, z której można podziwiać panoramę miasta. Piertowny zamek trzykrotnie zburzony i nie było praktycznie nic w tym miejscu. Odbudowa przez niektórych krytykowana za brak historycznego realizmu, ale ja powiem tego typu odbudowy, czego i również przykładem jest Zamek Królewski w Warszawie.

The views from the top of the tower are okay. The elevator was not working, so we had to walk. The staff were unapproachable and the exhibits underwhelming. Only worth visiting for the view from the top of the tower. It was not busy, which suggests how underwhelming it is.
