La Bonne Vache is fantastic! The cheese and charcuterie are top-notch, and every dish we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive and welcoming, making the experience even better. Cozy, charming, and perfect for a casual night out or a special treat. Highly recommend!

Second visit in three months for lunch. Service was excellent both times. First visit, food was fabulous (roti de boeuf baguette), but not this time. The steak au poivre burger was overcooked and arrived on a roll that looked and tasted like it came out of a plastic bag. The presentation was lacking, too. I was with an acquaintance and wasn't comfortable making a fuss, otherwise I would have sent the burger back. I realized the fries are nothing special. They're coated with something that makes them crispier. Are they even real potatoes? Also, this time, the music was too loud. Why can't conversation be the "music"? I gave this place too much credit the first time. Sad, I thought I might have found a true gem. I'll give it one more try.

Every detail feels thoughtful, from the cozy lighting to the inviting table settings. The food was exceptional — perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Each dish felt authentic and crafted with care, and the quality of ingredients truly stood out. Their wine selection was also perfect — light, refreshing, and thoughtfully paired to complement the dishes beautifully. The service was equally impressive: attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest enjoys their time. It’s rare to find a place that balances sophistication with such a welcoming vibe, but La Bonne Vache does it effortlessly. I can’t wait to return — this is easily one of the best dining experiences in D.C.
