My husband and I recently had a massage, and while there were a few good moments, overall it wasn’t quite what we expected. To be clear, we did choose a *relaxing massage*, but this felt way too light, even for that category. It was more like gentle touching than a massage, especially for my husband. I appreciated that my masseus focused on my shoulders and upper back, where she released some tension and even cracked my back, which was nice. But the rest of the session didn’t leave much of an impact. Also, at no point were we asked if the pressure was okay or if we’d prefer more or less, which felt like a missing basic step. Another thing that stood out was that the masseuses didn’t introduce themselves—they just walked in and immediately started the massage. That lack of communication felt a bit awkward, especially for a service meant to help you relax. My husband wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t bad, but we hoped for a more thoughtful and engaging experience.
