Had a lovely lunch in our local restaurant in Nice West. I had Niçois Ravoli for starters, fillet of Hake and rice for main and Meringue with pear sorbet and chocolate sauce for dessert. The food is delicious and presented to a very high standard. In addition, there is a lovely relaxed ambience in the restaurant combined with very attentive service. All in all, very highly recommended and easily accessible on the line 2 tram if you are travelling from the centre (Carras is the local stop).

Wir waren nebst zwei anderen belegten Tische, die Einzigen im Restaurant. Der Kellner war nett und gab sich Mühe. Zum Apéro bestellten wir uns einen Pastis und einen Kir Royal (letzteres verschlug mir beim Erhalt der Rechnung fast die Sprache: sage und schreibe 19€ 😵). Das vorgegebene Menü war auch gegen Gebühr nicht zu ändern und der Grund war für uns nicht verständlich (wollten anstelle der zwei vorgeschlagenen Vorspeisen, eine andere, aus der à la carte). Wir teilten uns dann die Vorspeise Artischocken mit Pecorino, Rucola und Ingwer. Diese war inspiriert und lecker auch wenn der Rucola teilweise ein wenig welk war und gewisse Blätter schon gelblich. Der Hauptgang "le Risotto mit Sommer-Truffes, in einem Wort beschrieben: langweilig! Der Reis leicht verkocht und fast geschmackslos, der Truffes obendrauf, hauchdünn gehobelt und die Portion großzügig jedoch auch ohne jeglichen Geschmack nach Trüffel. Einzig die Jus, die am Rand des Reises war, erfeute meinen Gaumen. Die Pavlova, die wir uns zum Dessert teilten, war ein Highlight! Nicht zu süss, fluffig und crunchy sowie fruchtig. Facit: es war ok.

An absolutely outstanding French restaurant. My husband and I were visiting Nice and staying nearby when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Though it wasn’t crowded, the food turned out to be surprisingly excellent. We each ordered a set menu, and every dish—from starter to dessert—was perfectly executed. The fish in the main course came with a flawless sauce, and the steak was cooked to perfection. What impressed us most was the service: professional and attentive without being overly intrusive. The staff always appeared just when we needed something. We’re honestly surprised this place isn’t more popular. If you’re ever in Nice, don’t miss the chance to try it!
