Amazing restaurant the food and service are impeccable

This is the place we want to return to when we get nostalgic about Japan. We came here for the 5pm Saturday service which seats 4 people maximum. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. We were greeted by the chef's wife on arrival, and ordered some delicious cold oolong tea to enjoy with our meal. The chef came out shortly after and the multiple course meal began. We were impressed by the seasonal ingredients and delicate balance of the dishes. The quality of the seafood was outstanding and every dish and piece of nigiri was lovingly and expertly prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting to the chef, his wife and the other very friendly couple throughout the meal, we learned lots of new things about Japan and sushi culture despite having visited the country many times already. This restaurant experience was refined and sophisticated, but in a friendly and welcoming setting. Simply perfect, we will definitely come back.

A humble and cozy spot that’s full of heart and character. The owner couple were so warm and welcoming! The flavours were delicate yet layered. The sashimi was fresh, the squid was a standout, and the seared toro nigiri was to die for. It’s definitely a place you’d come back to, just like visiting a friend.
