I’ve been coming here for several years now every week in the morning with my Guide dog on the way from London to Birmingham. The service is always friendly and reliable. However, on my last visit most recently, I did what I normally do and get my food to go and went to sit at a table while waiting for my train. I was approached by what I presume to be a new member of staff who said I could not sit at the table with my dog as there were no dogs allowed which I understand. However, I find it odd that they knew enough to state dogs are not allowed which is presumably the restaurant policy, while not being trained to know that Guide Dogs and assistance dogs are the exception. Guide Dogs London have their London offices nearby and train their dogs and handlers in this area all the time so it’s more important than ever that Pret management along with management of other restaurants in the vicinity, incorporate staff awareness as to the law around access rights afforded to Guide Dogs and assistance dogs. I will be more than happy to amend my rating to a five star and update my review when I’m reassured that this issue has been taken care of and the member of staff has not been scapegoated in any way as I don’t think it was their fault.

I went into this pret in my wheelchair after a long day, desperate for food and tea. I was looking at the food in the fridges and I didn't even need to ask for assistance - a lovely barista called Eman appeared and offered me help! He then served me at the till, brought my tea round and even put my tea securely in the bag so that i could take it away and wheel without spilling it. I was really impressed and it lifted my spirits at the end of a tiring day :) thank you so much Eman.
