I didn't go to the Paella Shack restaurant but Xavier made paella for a party I gave. He was nothing short of a miracle. He appeared when he said he would, asked where he should set up his paella pans. I offered him a cup of tea but he only had a glass of water and disappeared into the garden. Two or three hours later, the most sublime paella I have ever eaten appeared by magic, for no fewer than a hundred people. Some guests loved it so much they had three generous helpings! As a host, I could not have felt less stressed and more spoilt. Xavier's professionalism, trustworthiness, reliability, charm, and talents as a chef were faultless. My friends raved about him as if he were the best kept secret in London. One or two had lived in Spain and ranked his paella up there with the very best. Now they all want him at their parties and if ever I give a party again, only Xavier will get the call up. He and his paella are sensational!

Paella Shack, Walthamstow capped our Celebration of Languages held at All Saints Catholic High School in Hackney. They fed nearly 200 people giving them an authentic Valenciano cultural experience. The food was scrumptious and was a great way to end our event. They recreated a market stall, brought their own floodlights and cookers to produce a choice of chicken or vegetarian paella. They were a great hit with everyone and I highly recommend it. Many thanks to the David Buckland Trust for sponsoring the event.

Paella Shack catered my 40th birthday party, serving 50 guests a completely delicious selection of paella - seafood, chicken and vegetable - managing to cater for some very specific food allergies too. Everyone raved about how incredible it was and what a lovely alternative to typical party food. We were so pleased that Xavier was available to cater for us! Highly recommended!
