A hidden gem in Holborn! Elysee instantly transported me back to summer nights in Greece. The setting is beautiful – a spacious terrace with soft lighting that feels more like a Mediterranean courtyard than central London. Food was excellent: the grilled whole seabass was fresh and perfectly cooked, calamari crisp and light, and the slow-cooked lamb shoulder absolutely melted in the mouth. Cocktails were well made, and later in the evening the place turned into a lively shisha bar with music, which added to the charm. Perfect spot for a date or gathering with friends – will definitely return!

Last week I went to Elysee with a friend — it’s been on my list for a while. The restaurant is located on the second floor and also has an outdoor space. Sitting outside in the summer is really comfortable! Courgette Fries I really fell in love with courgettes in London. The fried coating was super crispy, and the courgette inside was juicy! Grilled Whole Seabass A very large fish, topped with some lemon and tomato. There was no fishy taste at all, and the meat was tender and smooth! Char-grilled T-Bone This steak was huge — definitely enough for three to four people. It was served with some vegetables on the side, and the beef was cooked just right. Pairing it with the courgette fries made it feel less heavy! We also ordered a special dish with Greek flavors — a mix of eggplant, other vegetables, and meat. It was especially delicious! The cocktails were also distinctive, beautifully decorated, and strong enough to feel very well-made. I had a Mojito — refreshing and light, even those who don’t usually drink much could enjoy it.
