One of the Best Breakfast Spots in Southgate – A Hidden Gem! Ashfield Café Restaurant in Southgate truly impressed us! Whether you’re after a classic English breakfast or something Mediterranean, this place delivers on all fronts. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, both inside and outside. We honestly felt like we were at home the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, treating us like family from the moment we walked in. I had the Mediterranean Turkish breakfast and wow, it was perfectly fresh! Soft cheese, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a perfectly cooked egg, all served with delicious, buttered, cleanly sliced bread. The bacon, sausage, and halloumi from the English breakfast were also top notch cooked to perfection. And the coffee? Simply amazing rich, high quality, and served just right. Special mention to Chef Ali – or as we called him, “Ali Baba” the man behind the magic! You can tell there’s real passion in every dish. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty English breakfast, a fresh Mediterranean bite, vegetarian options, or even pasta or lasagna, this place has something for everyone.
