One of your top choices for art in Frankfurt, with a great garden for a coffee after your visit. We decided to walk to the Liebighaus starting from the old city center and it was worth it: nice houses and historic buildings on our way along the river. We were impressed by the range of the sculpture collection which never became too “chatty”: we never got overwhelmed by the quantity of the sculptures in each section, which added to enjoying our time there/ not being stressed to quickly move on to the next section. The lighting of the sculptures added to the experience, giving a warmth to the artwork. Definitely recommended

Darf man auf keinen Fall unterschätzen Es ist eines der wichtigsten Museen in Frankfurt und setzt seine eigene Thematik sehr ansprechend um. Die Ausstellungsstücke werden kontextbezogen fantasievoll in Szene gesetzt und sehr ausdrucksstark dargestellt. Dennoch sind die Erklärungen schlüssig und verständlich. Die Räume und Sääle werden dabei farblich mit einbezogen. Es macht einfach Spaß und die Villa selbst mitsamt dem Park ist schön und gepflegt. Im Hochsommer ist das Gartenkaffee sehr zu empfehlen. Die Ausstellungen wechseln nicht nur thematisch, sondern auch stilistisch. Es wiederholt sich nicht und wird somit nie langweilig.
