This was a difficult one to review, as some aspects were excellent and others poor. We had booked a table, but on arrival, no tables were free and we were asked if we wanted to sit outside (we didn't because it was both cold and raining). We were asked to wait outside nonetheless to look at the menus until a table became free. Eventually, the manager(?) took a table from outside and squeezed it inside so we could begin our meal. The service did improve from here, and the starters and main courses were delicious. The desserts were disappointing though (the tiramisu was mainly cream and without flavour). Having eaten at other Italians in Cardiff, it makes it hard to recommend this one, although it clearly has a lot of history (with many celebrity visits). Note that portion sizes are large, you probably only need 2 courses, and we also found the meal to be overpriced (£153 for 2 people having 3 courses, a glass of wine each and an espresso martini each).

Great food, and amazing friendly servers! Cam here with my Dad to have dinner, they fit us in quickly without a reservation. I asked for a recommendation from my menu preferences and had the prawn and pistachio linguine. The main and desserts were awesome and we felt completely welcomed our whole visit. Will definitely go again!

We arrived near closing time but we were warmly welcome at the door. The interaction with staff was friendly and service was timely. Good vibes.
