Such a calm place to wander around and wonder at. A surprise around each corner and something for most tastes from farm machinery to rooms in a farm cottage. Equally, historical insights into trades (for example: wheelwrights and basket makers) and ways of life, such as eel trapping, make the visit fascinating for all. Further historical places around the area are: National Trust Brick pits and Kiln, Burwell Museum and Windmill, and Stretham Old Engine amongst others.

Great place. Lovely exhibits.

A nice little museum with a collection of machinery that will make you grateful for modern technology. There is a cafe and toilets as well as a play area for kids. Few bits undercover and information boards dotted about telling you what's on show. The abbey is a puzzle as what's left is only a small part which has been turned into a manor house but you can see it over two levels and again there are information boards or a guide book to help tell it's story.
